This policy explains what fmwapp.net collects when you visit, why, and what control you have over it.
Short version: we collect almost nothing about you personally. What we do collect is standard web analytics, and you can ask us to delete anything we hold at any time.
Questions or requests: [info@fmwapp.net]
What We Never Touch
Worth saying first, because our subject matter makes people ask.
- We do not access, read, store or transmit your messages, chats, contacts, call logs, media or backups from any application
- We do not collect your phone number unless you type it into an email to us
- We do not ask for or store passwords, verification codes, OTPs or payment details
- We operate no application, so we receive no data from anything you install
We will never ask for your verification code. Anyone who does — us, a “support agent,” a friend — is trying to steal your account.
What You Choose to Send Us
When you email or use a contact form, we receive whatever you put in it: your name, your email address, your message, and anything else you include. That’s it. Reading our articles requires nothing.
What Gets Recorded Automatically
Standard server and analytics data, the same as almost any website:
- IP address
- Browser and version
- Operating system and device type
- Screen size and language
- Date, time and duration of visit
- Pages viewed and where you arrived from
- Approximate location from IP, usually city or country level
This isn’t normally used to identify anyone. We use it to see which articles are read, find broken pages, and diagnose faults.
Cookies
Small files placed on your device. We may also use pixels and local storage.
Essential — basic function and security. The site won’t work properly without them. Preference — remembers your language and cookie choice. Analytics — aggregated readership data. Advertising — placed by third-party ad partners.
Your browser controls all of this. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera all let you view, delete or block cookies from their settings menus. Blocking everything may break parts of the site.
Third Parties We Use
Analytics. We may use Google Analytics for traffic and behaviour data. Google’s policy is at policies.google.com/privacy, and the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on turns it off entirely.
Advertising. We may display ads through third-party networks including Google AdSense. These vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites. Opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, or at aboutads.info/choices for opt-outs across many networks at once.
We don’t choose which specific ads appear. An ad showing here isn’t an endorsement.
Hosting and CDN. Our host and content delivery network process technical request data, including IP addresses, to serve pages and block attacks.
Each of these has its own privacy policy, which we don’t control.
Why We Use It
- Running, maintaining and securing the site
- Answering your messages
- Understanding which articles help and improving them
- Diagnosing faults and monitoring performance
- Serving and measuring advertising
- Detecting spam, fraud, abuse and attacks
- Complying with the law
We do not sell your personal information.
Who Else Sees It
Only three situations:
Service providers — hosting, analytics, security, email, advertising — limited to what they need to do their job.
Legal requirements — where disclosure is required by law or a valid legal request, or necessary to protect rights, safety or property.
Business transfer — if this site is ever sold, data may transfer with it. Notice would be posted on this page.
Nobody else, and never for their own marketing.
How Long We Keep It
Your messages — until your query is resolved, then deleted within a reasonable period. Analytics — per our provider’s retention settings, usually aggregated. Server logs — briefly, for security and diagnostics.
Ask us to delete anything and we will.
Security
HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on stored data, reasonable technical measures throughout.
That said: no internet transmission is completely secure and we can’t guarantee absolute security. Don’t send us sensitive personal information.
Your Rights
If you’re in the EU, EEA or UK (GDPR)
You can request access to your data, correction of inaccuracies, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests including ad profiling. You can withdraw consent at any time and complain to your national data protection authority.
Our legal bases: your consent (optional cookies), legitimate interests (security, diagnostics, understanding readership, preventing abuse), and legal obligation.
If you’re in California (CCPA/CPRA)
You can ask what we collect and why, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, opt out of sale or sharing, and you won’t be treated differently for asking.
We do not sell personal information as the CCPA defines it.
How to exercise any of this
Email [info@fmwapp.net] with the subject line “Privacy Request”, and say clearly what you want. We may ask a verifying question first — that’s to stop someone else making a request in your name. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is for a general adult audience. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13, or under 16 where a higher age applies locally. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we’ll delete it.
International Transfers
Our services may store or process data on servers outside your country, including outside the EEA and UK. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
Do Not Track
There’s no agreed industry standard for responding to browser DNT signals, and this site doesn’t currently respond to them. Browser cookie settings and the ad opt-out links above still work.
Links Off This Site
We link to other websites. We don’t control their content, privacy practices or security and aren’t responsible for them. This policy covers fmwapp.net only.
Files You Download
Any file referenced here is covered by our Disclaimer. We receive no personal information from anything you download and have no visibility into what an installed application does on your device.
Any app you install is governed by whoever produced it, not by this policy. Applications distributed outside official stores often have no documented or verifiable data practices at all. Weigh that before installing anything.
Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices or the law change, with a revised date at the top. Significant changes will be made visible on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
